Venice is a city that changes over time. The water of the lagoon, the salty air and the humidity slowly transform the metals of its architecture. A green-turquoise patina called verdigris forms on domes, statues and decorative surfaces in copper and brass, one of the most recognizable shades of the Venetian landscape. The Nereide Verdigris dial was born from this transformation. Made of brass, it is subjected to a controlled oxidation process which generates the typical patina, creating shades of green, turquoise and blue. Each dial is slightly different and recalls the colors of Venetian metals exposed to time and the lagoon.
