Montblanc fountain pen Heritage Rouge et Noir “Baby” Special Edition Black tip M 127801
127801
The original Montblanc “baby pen” models from the 1910s and 1920s measured between 6 and 8 cm. Small but highly functional, these fountain pens were made of ebonite and equipped with a 14 ct gold nib. In an era when ballpoint pens and rollerball pens were not yet born, "baby pens" were the perfect writing instruments to carry in your pocket or handbag.
The Montblanc “baby pens” of the 1910s and 1920s were among the smallest and most innovative writing instruments of their time. Leak-proof, travel-sized and easy to use, their cutting-edge design helped transform the world of writing at a time when people were beginning to discover the pleasure of traveling long distances. Today these special editions are reinterpreted by combining traditional design with 21st century craftsmanship to meet the needs of a new generation.
Montblanc Heritage Collection Rouge et Noir “Baby” celebrates the pioneering spirit and rich tradition of the Maison. Inspired by the "Baby" pens of the 1920s, Montblanc reinterprets this revolutionary design for the time in a modern key. The name is a joking reference to the small size of this model compared to other Montblanc writing instruments. Created in precious black lacquer with platinum-finish details, it is crowned by the Montblanc emblem in precious resin, surrounded by the iconic coral shade of the Rouge et Noir collection. The handcrafted Au585 solid gold nib features a Mont Blanc design.
