The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by Jules Verne's famous adventure novel “Around the World in 80 Days”. The Solitaire Midsize ballpoint pen in black stained wood draws inspiration from the second leg of the journey, from Bombay to Yokohama. The wood was chosen to pay homage to the moment in which Fogg saves Princess Auda from having to commit the practice of Sati. In this second adventurous stage, the protagonists travel on a majestic elephant, which appears in a cartouche on the hood. The body and cap bear an engraved pattern with symbols. The clip sports a red lacquered Ace of Diamonds, representing Fogg's bet to make the journey in 80 days. The top of the cap features embossing of the duration of the journey, 25 days from Bombay to Yokohama and 80 days in total.
