Longines, which has always associated its name with the world of sport, puts its expertise at the service of scuba diving. It all began in 1937, an era in which waterproofing became a quality criterion. Longines thus developed a case with waterproof buttons for its legendary 13ZN caliber and did not fail to file the patent for its creation. Subsequently, the winged hourglass brand signed numerous developments that led it, in 1958, to create its first civilian diving watch, followed in the 1960s by several other models of the same type.
